Friday 8th May 2026

As part of our Celebration Assembly today we marked Sir David Attenborough's 100th birthday. As well as looking at his life and achievements, we also used this opportunity to announce the winners of our Earth Day photo competition.

We had over 70 entries for the competition, all which were of a very high standard. Our guest judges, Lizzi Testani (CEO of Bristol Climate & Nature Partnership) and Florence Robertson (Chair of Badocks Woods and member of Bristol Parks Forum) had a tough time choosing the winners!

During the assembly, certificates were also awarded to the most recent set of writers who entered their work for inclusion in the recent Young Writers competition. Congratulations to all 70 of the children in Key Stage 2 who will now be published in a poetry book I Have A Dream: Dreams In Ink.

Clifton College Triathlon

On Sunday, 16 teams from Victoria Park Primary School completed the Clifton College Triathlon for the Restless Development charity. The children will also be able to allocate a local charity to receive some of the money (we will keep you updated ).

They did a fantastic job , and were full of energy, even the ones that had to finish their run in the rain!  Some of our teams finished in the top 10 for their age range, out of over 100 schools.

Well done everyone, and thank you to the families who supported their children to attend this event.
