Attendance and Punctuality
Last week was a bit of an odd one for attendance with the unexpected school closure and some extremely hot weather. We saw one of our lowest weeks for attendance but we are hopeful this will improve this week now the weather has cooled down slightly.
The classes with the best attendance last week were:

The most improved class was:

Year 3 Roman Baths
Last week, Year 3 visited the Roman Baths, where they took part in a range of exciting activities. They created beautiful Roman-style mosaics and stepped into the role of archaeologists, digging to uncover ancient artefacts. In the afternoon, they explored the Roman Baths using audio guides, discovering lots of fascinating facts about the site's history.
Get ‘back to school’ uniform ready!
The last uniform sale this term will be after the Big Summer Sing on Tuesday 14th July in playground 3 from 3 to 3.30pm
We’ll have all our usual items of logo jumpers, dresses, shorts, skirts.

Year 5 Garden Showcase - Monday 20th July 1:30 - 3:30
As you may know, Year 5 have had the privilege of taking part in the Zero Carbon Schools Project this year. As part of this, we have been enhancing the outdoor classroom (outside the art room/where breakfast club drop off is) with the aim of improving it for wildlife. The kids have worked really hard on this, which is why we are going to be hosting a Garden Showcase event on Monday 20th July 1:30-3:30. This will be a chance for the whole school community to celebrate the children's hard work and will include presentations, special guests and an opportunity to see all the new planting.
Additionally, we have set up a collaborative project on iNaturalist to log observations in the local area. We encourage you to add your own sightings in South Bristol to the project on iNaturalist. You can download the app or access it on a browser. You can find the link to the project here, or on the app you can search under projects: Victoria Park Primary School Zero Carbon Schools Project. Then join to become a member. Once you are a member, on the home screen of the app, press New Observation at the bottom of the menu and tag the Victoria Park Primary School Zero Carbon Schools Project at the bottom.
We would love you to contribute and to see you at the showcase! Feel free to drop in throughout the afternoon. You can contribute on iNaturalist and attend the showcase no matter what year you are in, all are welcome.

Shine September to December Club bookings open next week!
Launch Date: All Shine After School Clubs will be open for booking on Wednesday 15th July at 12:30pm.
