Welcome Back!
Welcome back! It has been lovely to have everybody back in the school for the new term.
In assembly today, we celebrated the class attendance and punctuality winners for Term 3. Congratulations to Cherry class who had the overall highest attendance for Term 3 and to Hazel class who had the best punctuality. Both classes have won £30 each for the children and teacher together to decide what reward they will have.
We also celebrated this week's Values Certificate winners who were Barnaby, Wren, Isla, Thomas, Phoebe, Joe, Phoebe, Marwa and Liddy. Well done everybody.
Magnolia Trip to Watercress Farm
Today, Magnolia Class visited Watercress Farm and had an amazing time in the sunshine! We spent time exploring the woodland, had food on the campfire and were lucky enough to see the pigs, cows, deer and wild ponies.
CST Annual Concert 'Starbound'
Please find attached information on the CST Annual Concert 'Spellbound' at the Bristol Beacon on Tuesday 11th March 2025 and how to purchase tickets.
Named Water Bottles
Please remember to send your child into school with a named water bottle everyday. We have a very limited number of cups in the office for children to use if they do not have a water bottle but we have had an increasing number of children asking for these cups.
New rock and pop band lessons with Rocksteady starting on a Tuesday
Did you know, we partner with Rocksteady Music School to deliver fun and inclusive rock and pop band lessons, right here at Victoria Park Primary School! These weekly music lessons take place in school and are led by professional musicians who make learning music fun.
It’s the perfect way for children to learn new musical skills, make friends and have a great time – all at school!
Rocksteady lessons are also shown to amplify confidence, wellbeing and social skills. Here’s what else you need to know:
• There’s no experience necessary and all instruments for lessons are provided.
• Watch as your child performs in their end of term concerts, showing just how far they have come.
• Children learn up to 300 instrument, band, and performance skills, whilst playing songs they love.
• Children can achieve an Ofqual-regulated Music qualification, accredited by Trinity College London, without having to take a single exam.
• You’ll receive regular progress updates, including photos and videos.
There’s a money-back guarantee for the first month and you can cancel at any time.
Places are offered on a first come, first served basis. Sign your child up for band lessons online at rocksteadymusicschool.com/parents.
Please note, if your child already has a Rocksteady lesson on a Friday, then these lessons will continue - you will not need to sign up again.
If you have any questions about Rocksteady, call 0330 113 0330 (Mon-Thurs 8am-8pm, Fri 8am-6pm, local rate) or email info@rocksteadymusicschool.com.

Please help replace Windmill Hill City farm’s broken dragon swing
Our well-loved and much used dragon swing at Windmill Hill City Farm has broken and is unsafe to use. Help us replace it with a sustainably-made, long lasting dragon swing for the community to enjoy for years to come.
The swing is a fantastic piece of co-operative play equipment, which engages all ages and abilities. Groups have to work together to get the swing going and this leads to communication, smiling and lots of fun. The swing is a vital tool for our Outdoor Learning programme, where we provide school workshops, nurture groups and supper clubs for over 3,000 children and families each year. Most of the children and young people use the dragon swing during their farm visits – your children probably enjoyed playing on it too!
Windmill Hill City farm is a charity bringing experiences of food, farming and the environment to the heart of Bristol. We make sure the farm is free and open every day for everyone; it has a playground, farm animals, a cafe, a wildlife garden and allotment to explore.
Please visit our Just Giving page for more information on the project and to donate if you can.... every contribution will matter.
