Welcome to our school website - please come in and take a look around. You can click on "Newsletters" to see our weekly school newsletter and termly curriculum newsletters.
This week, we were delighted to provide you with your child(ren)'s end-of-year school reports, which included any assessment outcomes. We congratulate all the children for their hard work and dedication throughout the year, and hope that you will value these reports and keep them as a record of your child's academic journey and accomplishments for years to come. If you would like to discuss anything about the report, please drop us a line and arrange a conversation with your child's teacher.
By the time this newsletter reaches you, Year 6 will be starting their first of two big performances tonight! For the past few months, the pupils have been learning the songs from Tim Minchin's musical adaptation of Matilda, in weekly singing sessions with Mr Bailey, and over the last four weeks have shown dedication and determination with singing, acting, learning lines and dancing to bring their performance to life. The energy, talent, and enthusiasm they have brought to each rehearsal will surely delight everyone in the audience.
Miss Godfroy, Miss Hibberd, Mrs Merriman, Mrs Baron and Mr Bailey are all incredibly proud of you - "break a leg" in tonight's performances!
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the parents and carers who have helped in any way, from practising lines and gathering costumes, to making props and designing the programme - with particular thanks to Hannah and Gemma for such organisational prowess!
Aid Box Community
We were visited in our Values Assembly this week by Marguerita and Sara from Aid Box Community. They told us how their charity was founded in 2015 to support refugees by creating aid boxes of essential items, and the work they do now including providing support, supplies, guidance and sanctuary for refugees in Bristol. If you would like to know more about Aid Box Community, including how to support them, visit their website: aidboxcommunity.co.uk
Summer Holiday Clubs
Did you know that if your child receives Free School Meals or has an EHCP that you can access lots of free activities in Bristol over the summer? Follow the link below to Bristol City Council to find out more about the places available. One of the clubs available has sent us an information flyer to share with you.
If you need any help or advice in accessing these clubs, speak to Miss Mullen or Mrs Jackson.
To celebrate the end of term...
On the last day of term, we will be hosting an Asian Food sale in the middle playground at the end of the day. This year, as we did not hold our annual Eid Bazaar at the end of Ramadan, we invite you to join us to share in some delicious treats, cooked in our community, to round off the year! We will provide a few more details during next week.
To add to the sense of occasion, pupils may wear their celebration or party clothes to school on Friday 19th July. We hope you have a lovely weekend!
