Welcome to another new year at Victoria Park School! It has been wonderful to see everybody return after the summer break, I hope everyone is feeling refreshed and ready to embrace the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead here at Vicky Park. Our staff have worked really hard to ensure a smooth start to the year and it has been great to see the children reuniting with their friends and settling into their new classes and routines.
I want to take this opportunity to say how happy I am to begin my first year as Headteacher. I am really looking forward to working with our brilliant school community for another year. Thank you for all the kind words and best wishes I have received since being appointed. I am looking forward to a successful and rewarding year.

The Smartphone Free Childhood Parent Group
Before the summer holiday parents of VPPS were asked about smartphones.
An overwhelming 87% of VPP parents and guardians who completed the survey would like more guidance about smartphone ownership and online safety. Over 70% agreed that they don’t want their children to have a smartphone at primary school but haven’t yet planned how or when their child should get a smartphone.
In year 5 parents and guardians are planning on forming a pact, agreeing to delay buying their children a smartphone.
If you’d like more information about this pact or guidance about your child owning a smartphone, check out https://smartphonefreechildhood.co.uk/
More information on the VPPS parent pact to follow soon!
