Friday 14th June 2024

This week in our assemblies we talked about Loneliness Awareness Week, which raises awareness of loneliness and empowers everyone to make connections. Children learned that everyone feels lonely sometimes, and it's a normal feeling from time to time. Most importantly they talked about how to help themselves or others. If you would like to know more, go to www.lonelinessawarenessweek.org

National Thank a Teacher Day - 19th June 2024

Join us in celebrating the incredible dedication and hard work of our education community on Wednesday 19th June! You can send a free personalised e-card to anyone working in a school. Whether it’s an amazing teacher, stand out member of support staff, or a whole school team, let them know why you appreciate them. Click here to send an e-card for free.

Transition Arrangements

We will let all families know who their child's teacher will be on Monday 1st July.

On Wednesday 3rd July, children will meet their new class teacher during our 'moving up' morning.

Also on Wednesday 3rd July, we will hold an open classroom event so parents and carers can come into school to meet their child's next teacher (and see the classrooms). This will be a brief informal opportunity to come into school from 3:30pm to 4:00pm.

On Thursday 11th July, children will spend a second morning with their new class teacher during our second 'moving up' morning.

Some additional transition activities are then planned for July so children get to know their key adults for the year ahead. Teachers also have dedicated staff meeting time to share transition information with each other.

Reminder - CST Parent & Carer Survey

Please find below a link to this year's CST parents and carers survey. This year, we will be closing the survey before the end of term on Monday 1st July at 9.00am. This form asks you about your experience of your child's education. The responses are treated anonymously & confidentially to identify what we are doing well and what we can do better. If you have more than one child at school, you only need to complete the survey once. This survey comes from CST and is the same across all of our schools and academies. Thank you for taking time to complete these questions.

The link for the survey is here: CST Parent and Carer survey 2024.

Booking School Meals

Please remember to book your child's school meal choices in advance via the School Gateway. Booking closes at 10pm each Sunday, for the week ahead. You will be unable to book/amend lunches after this time. Without a booking, we can not guarantee enough food will be ordered and cooked.

New 'Friends of Little Park' group - all welcome!

Do you and your children spend time in the little play park by the Rising Sun at the top of Windmill Hill? A group of neighbours are getting together to form a 'Friends of Little Park' group to apply for funding to improve the park. The first meeting is at the Rising Sun next Monday 17th June at 8pm. Please come along if you can.
