Friday 19th July 2024

After a week of fantastic celebrations and performances, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude and joy for the wonderful memories we've created together over the past six years.

It has been an honour to witness our school community grow and flourish, to celebrate together and to hold strong in challenging circumstances by embracing our core values of respect, curiosity, kindness and determination. We've seen these values come to life in countless ways, from the respectful interactions between pupils and staff, to the boundless curiosity that drives our learners to explore and discover new things every day. Your children's kindness has fostered a warm and inclusive environment, and the determination shown by both pupils and teachers has led to remarkable achievements, whether in a book, on a stage, on a football field or on an assessment page.

My highlights include the vibrant singing and astonishing performances that have brought our community together, showcasing the incredible talents and hard work of our children. The special performance of "Thank You for the Music" from this week's Big Sing will stay with me forever.

I am confident that Victoria Park Primary School will continue to thrive, guided by the values that make it such a special place, and a fantastic new headteacher. Thank you all for your unwavering support and for creating memories with me, for these past six years.

Good luck to our outgoing year six pupils and families. I know you will take our values with you wherever you go, and will impress your teachers at your various secondary schools by showing them what it means to hail from Victoria Park Primary School!

I wish you all a hard-earned and relaxing summer break.

Mr Nic Bailey

Year 3 - Camp in a Day

Year 3 had a brilliant time embarking on 'Camp in a Day' this week. The wet weather did nothing to dampen their spirits as they explored the woodland, whittled sticks, hunted for minibeasts, and got creative. The day was also packed with sports, and the children participated in some silly but hilarious races. They are definitely ready for the full experience in Year 4!

Staffing Update

We are pleased to announce that Mr Dyer will be staying at Victoria Park Primary School in the new academic year as a cover teacher until 31st December 2024. This means he will be working across all year groups, covering the time that class teachers need out of class for planning, leadership and training.

The PTFA Uniform sales will be contactable throughout the summer break for uniform enquiries. Logo jumpers are available in most sizes, plus dresses, shorts skirts and cardigans.
