Friday 23rd January 2026

This week we have had our attendance week in school.  We have been sharing messages about attendance with the children in assemblies and on instagram for families to see.  We have had lots of celebrations in school this week for daily attendance and punctuality.  On Monday we had one of our highest attendance days since the beginning of September, which was fantastic.

Our whole school attendance has continued to rise since our return from the Christmas holidays which is great news.

The winners of Values Certificates this week were Fred, Elliot, Idris, Josiah, Laurie, Tilly, Isra, Zach, Tanveer, Lucas, Will and Ayman. Most of you were "caught" being role models for our school value of the week, curiosity. Well done all of you!

Year 6 Avon Fire and Rescue Workshop

This week, Year 6 took part in an engaging Fire and Rescue workshop delivered by Avon Fire & Rescue Service. Working collaboratively in small groups, pupils rotated around five interactive scenarios. Each activity encouraged discussion, problem-solving and teamwork, with a balance of fire- and water-related safety topics. The scenarios included Hazards in the Home, Open Water Hazards, Hoax and 999 Calls, Escape Plans and Float or Flounder. The session was both informative and enjoyable, helping children to build important life skills and safety awareness in a practical, hands-on way.

Outstanding Gymnastics Achievement

We are very proud of Phoebe and Trixie in Year 6 for the Special Award they have received from Axis Trampoline and Gymnastics Club. They have both been given this certificate of achievement for being 1 of only 10 gymnasts in their age group to qualify for the National Age Group Championships which is the highest level of competition for their age group in Great Britain.
