At Victoria Park, we are committed to providing a broad and balanced curriculum that is inclusive of all learners. We believe that high-quality teaching, tailored support, and an inclusive school environment enable all children, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Our school fosters a positive and supportive atmosphere, where every child is valued, respected, and encouraged to reach their full potential. We work closely with children, parents, and external professionals to ensure that the right provisions, interventions, and adaptations are in place to support individual needs.
At Victoria Park, we follow a graduated approach to supporting pupils with SEND, ensuring that needs are identified early and appropriate interventions are implemented.
Supporting children with SEND goes beyond academic interventions—it requires strong, trusting relationships between pupils, staff, and families.
We prioritise:
✅ Consistent approaches across the school to provide structure and predictability.
✅ Clear communication and collaboration with parents to ensure their child’s needs are met.
✅ Emotional well-being support to help pupils develop resilience and confidence.
At Victoria Park, we believe that every child deserves to feel successful and supported in their learning journey. By creating an inclusive, nurturing, and responsive school environment, we help our pupils with SEND develop the skills they need to flourish both in school and beyond.
For more information about SEND at Victoria Park or to discuss support for your child, please contact your childs teacher in the first instance or the SEND Coordinator (SENDCo), Chantelle Stirzaker, through the school office.

Bristol Ordinary Available Provision
Bristol City Council have published their "Written Statement of Action" in response to the Ofsted/Care Quality Commission (CQC) Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) inspection which took place in our local area at the end of 2019. It is a transparent, formal framework for improving SEND provision which has been developed with a number of partners and incorporates the views of parents and carers. Ofsted require that the Written Statement of Action is available to parents, carers, children and young people so they understand the actions being taking to improve the effectiveness of the local area in identifying and meeting needs, and improving outcomes for children and young people who have SEND.
