Welcome to our school website - please come in and take a look around. You can click on "Newsletters" to see our weekly school newsletter and termly curriculum newsletters.

It has been a great last week of term in school with so much to share and celebrate. We have enjoyed Year 1 singing, the Year 2 Nativity, our KS2 Singing performance at St Michael and All Saints Church and we have topped it all off today with our Christmas lunch. Thank you to all parents and carers who have attended all of the various events this week, the turnout and support at each one has brilliant. We really appreciate it.
We hope you all have a wonderful winter break and we will see you back at school on Tuesday 6th January 2026.

Values Certificate Winners
The winners of Values Certificates this week were Joe, Niklas, Fern, Nutmeg, Lila, Alfie, Harozo, Noah, Alex, Rufus, Caitlin and Theia. Well done all of you!

Term 3 Year Group Curriculum Newsletters
Each term we provide a Curriculum Newsletter per year group. These are written by class teachers and give an overview of the learning that will be taking place each term in your child's class. The term 3 newsletters for each year group can be found here.
House Competition Winners
More, Stephenson and Campbell were the joint winners of the House Points competition this term. It was one of the closest ever races for the "Old House Cup" with all of the houses having accumulated enough weekly wins to have a chance of lifting the trophy in the last week of term.
After such a close competition this term, let's see who can lift the trophy in the Spring.
Visitor in Reception
Last Friday the Reception classes had a visitor from the blood bike charity, linked to our current learning about people who help us. John (a parent at the school) talked to us about the voluntary work he does to help transport medicine, blood, baby milk and tests between hospitals, when they are urgently needed. He also brought his motorbike into the playground so we could see where these items are stored and how other vehicles and pedestrians know he is doing an important job.
Reception Theatre Trip
Our Reception classes had a brilliant time at the Wardrobe Theatre this week. They were treated to the very first showing of Kid Carpet & The Noisy Animals: Jack and the Beanstalk (sort of!). It was a magical, musical adventure complete with flying golden eggs, a shopping trip, fairy godmother and a beanstalk that grew right in front of us! We got to drive up the beanstalk, do Kid Carpet's makeup and took part in an air guitar masterclass. The trip was kindly funded by The Arts Society and was a wonderful experience for the children.
Sports Events
It's been a busy last couple of weeks with various different sporting events taking place. Children from Year 5 and 6 took part in an athletics competition held at Ashton Park School. They competed as a team across numerous events including relays, javelin and standing long jump. They performed admirably narrowly missing out on a top three finish. A fantastic effort from everyone!
Year 3 and 4 had their first football tournament of the year, held at the Imperial Sports Ground. They played three group matches winning two and drawing the other, demonstrating some excellent football. Unfortunately they missed out on a place in the final due to goal difference but should be incredibly proud of their performance.
Finally, the Year 5 and 6 football team played against Headley Park. They worked brilliantly as a team, playing some fantastic football and were incredibly unlucky to lose the game 1-0. Mr Dyer was so impressed with how they showed everything they have been working on so hard during training sessions.

PINS project
You're invited to our second in-school peer support session as part of the PINS (Partnerships for Inclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools) project, in collaboration with Bristol Parent Carers to find out more about the project and what it means for your child and your school.
This session is open to all parents and carers of children with neurodivergent needs, such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, Tourette’s, learning disabilities, developmental language disorder, or mental health needs. You don’t need a diagnosis to attend.
It’s a safe and supportive space to share experiences, get advice, and work together on ways to improve inclusion for neurodivergent children in schools and get your family or child any help that you might need.
The PINS project is a partnership between NHS England, the Department of Education, the Integrated Care Board, and Bristol City Council.
