In our whole school assembly this week, we thought about how our school value of respect underpins everything we do in school. Specifically, we reminded ourselves of the relationship of this value to our three school rules of "Be Safe, Be Respectful and Be Responsible". We also looked at how our rules are the basis of our whole-school routines that we have in school which are designed to make sure we all know how to work together to make sure everybody can thrive and achieve.

Values Certificate Winners
Congratulations to the winners of Values Certificates this week. They were Amelie B, Sky, Arlo, Jude, Eli, Isabella, Leo, Gracie, Amelia, Evan, Sofiane and Joseph.
Watercress Farm
Some of our children had a great time on their trip to Watercress Farm on Wednesday. The weather was sunny but cold and icy and the children enjoyed seeing how the farm had changed with the season since their last visit. They saw ponies, cows, deer and pigs. They made potions, ran a pizza shop and there was plenty of splashing in muddy puddles. The children came back very dirty but with beaming smiles. Thank you to Mrs Chatterton and Ms Pearce for giving the children such a wonderful experience.
Attendance and Punctuality
Next week we will be having an attendance focus week. We will be using this week to share key messages with families about individual and whole school attendance and explain further why this is so important. We will also be talking to the children in assembly about attendance and punctuality and getting their thoughts and opinions. There will be celebrations for improvements in attendance and punctuality across the school. We would really appreciate your support and understanding with the communication we will be sharing about attendance.
Our whole school attendance has risen since our return from the Christmas holidays which is great news.
| Whole School Attendance (Year to Date) | 95.69% |
The classes with the best attendance last week were:
| Class | Attendance | |
| 1st | Willow and Lime | 100% |
| 2nd | Maple | 99.58% |

Smoking around the school site.

We kindly request that adults do not smoke or vape around the perimeter of the school in particular when queuing to come in to the school site at the beginning or end of the day. This is for the comfort of those who are in close proximity when in line and for the benefit of the children coming in to and exiting the school site. We thank you in advance for your understanding and co-operation.
Items needed
Reception classes are in need of spare clothes, as our stocks are running low. We particularly need boys pants age 4-5 or 5-6 and leggings age 4-5 & age 4-5 socks. If you are having a clear out or have any uniform in the smaller sizes that you no longer need, please drop off to either reception class or at the school office. Thank you!
