Welcome to our school website - please come in and take a look around. You can click on "Newsletters" to see our weekly school newsletter and termly curriculum newsletters.

Thank you everyone for your patience and understanding again this week. I really appreciate how reasonable all of our parents and carers have been during the last week given the disruption to your own lives and work as well as your children's education.
Hopefully by now you have all seen the letter from Neil Blundell, CEO of Cathedral Schools Trust (CST) with the good news that an agreement in principle has been reached between CST, National Education Union (NEU) and Unison. As a result, the unions have agreed to cease all proposed strike action (see letter below).
This means that school will operate as usual next week and be open to all of our children.
Exactly how we all want it to be.
I am looking forward to seeing everybody back together in school next week.
Mr Gunner

Values Certificate Winners
Our value of the week has been Respect. The following children were awarded values certificates in our Celebration Assembly today: Rory, Charlie, Omar, Moqades, Eliza, Matilda, Danny, Daithi, Luke, Haroun, Jacob, and Jafar. Well done all of you.
Anti-Bullying Week
This week in assembly we celebrated Odd Sock Day and spoke about Anti-Bullying Week. Lots of children and staff wore their odd socks to school with pride. We discussed the theme of "Power for Good" and how we can use our powers to spread kindness and happiness throughout our school. The children came up with some great examples of how they can use their powers to help when they see children feeling sad or left out. We talked about what bullying is and how we can work together to stop it from happening. We ended the assembly by watching Andy and the Odd Socks new song written especially for Anti-Bullying week. It is quite a catchy tune, have a watch below!
Odd Sock Day
Thank you to everyone who wore odd socks to school on Monday for Odd Sock Day. The children (and staff) looked great. This is a fantastic way to celebrate our differences and it was lovely to see the children engaging with this.
Children in Need
Today we celebrated Children in Need by wearing our Pudsey and spotty clothes to school. We had some great outfits worn by both children and staff today and it certainly made the school look colourful. Thank you for your donations towards this worthy charity. If you haven't done so already, there is still time to donate to our school fundraiser via the School Gateway app.
Gromit Unleashed Writing Competition
You may recall that during the summer Barcan and Kirby ran a competition for children to submit a short story based on the Norbot sculpture, Spellbound. Today Lucy and Anna from Barcan and Kirby came in to school to present the children who submitted entries to the competition with their own published book containing their story alongside all the other entries. Amazingly, the winning entry also came from our school and they were presented with a hamper of goodies alongside 4 other children who were also presented with runner up prizes. Well done to all those who entered the competition. A copy of the book will be available in our school library for anyone who wishes to read it.
Year 5 Green Schools Project
We are really excited to share that Year 5 will be taking part in the Green Schools Project 'Zero Carbon Schools' initiative this year. They will have lessons each week which will include:
We are looking forward to seeing what they discover and what they decide to take action on in school.

Despite there only being two school days where children were able to attend school last week, we are still celebrating the classes who had the highest attendance. When there are days missed, it is even more important that children are in school on the days when school is open.
