Friday 11th July 2025

This week, we're pleased to give you your child(ren)'s end-of-year school reports, which included any assessment outcomes. The children have worked hard throughout the year, and we hope that you will value these reports and keep them as a record of your child's academic journey and accomplishments for years to come. If you would like to discuss anything about the report, please do arrange a conversation with your child's teacher.

Values Certificates

Our Value of the Week this week has been respect. Congratulations to Melissa, Annelise, Gwen, Taylor, Barney, Rico, Rayaan, Fred, Ines and Hazel who were all awarded certificates for being caught demonstrating this or another of our school values this week.

The Big Summer Sing

The sound of singing has filled every corner of the school this week, as pupils rehearse for our end of year Big Summer Sing. Remember you can come and join us at 2pm in the middle playground on Tuesday 15th July. The gates will open at 1.50pm and will close at 2.05pm on Atlas Road and will remain locked until the end of the performance at 3pm.

Wrong Trouser Day

We are very excited to be having our first Wrong Trouser Day next Wednesday 16th July.  We are inviting all children and staff to wear "the wrong trousers" or shorts to school.  Be as creative as you like, be bold, be colourful, be crazy!  Children should still wear their white school t-shirt and jumpers/cardigans as normal.  We are asking for families to make a suggested donation of £1 to support the Wallace and Gromit Appeal.  We are hoping to raise £500.  Donations can be made on the school gateway or by bringing in cash on the day.  We will have a collection bucket available.

We will also be showcasing our own school Norbot who we have been busy designing and creating.  He will form part of the schools exhibition in the Gromit Unleashed trail and we are excited to see the finished statue.

There will also be an ice-lolly sale after school on Wednesday to raise a few more pounds to add to the appeal.  Please note this will be CASH ONLY so please bring change as some of the school council will be helping to run this.

Year 6 Leavers Party

A reminder that our Year 6 Leavers party is taking place next Thursday 17th July.  This is a free event for Year 6 children only to celebrate the end of primary school.  We are looking forward to seeing all our Year 6 children there.

Partnership for Inclusion and Neurodiversity  Project (PINs)

We’re excited to let you know that our school has been selected to take part in the Partnership for Inclusion and Neurodiversity  Project (PINs) – a national project funded by the ICB and designed to help schools better support neurodivergent pupils.

As part of this project, schools can access £3,500 worth of tailored support, including expert-led training and resources aimed at improving how we meet the needs of our neurodivergent students.

To help shape our involvement, we’re asking all parents and carers to complete a short survey, linked here. Your views will play an important part in identifying priorities and helping us show how our school aligns with the goals of the project.

Please note: only 10 schools will be selected to take part, so this is an amazing opportunity for our school community.

Bristol Parent Carers Forum will be visiting school in terms 2, 3 and 4 to host coffee mornings at which they will explain more about the feedback received through our surveys and the training and resources that will be delivered to the school through the PINs project.

Again, here is the link to the survey:

Thank you in advance for your time and support.
