Friday 31st March 2023

Welcome to the final newsletter of this term, and an exciting day for Year 6 pupils who are performing their production of Disney's The Lion King at the Creswell Theatre this afternoon, for the second time! All the children have worked hard to rehearse and perfect their performances and the results are exceptional. Earlier in the week, the pupils invited all of Year 5 to watch one of their rehearsals. This gave them a chance to practise the show from start to finish, but also to inspire Year 5 pupils who will be putting on a production of their own next year! We couldn't have done it without the unwavering support of Year 6 parents and carers with costumes, makeup, lighting, filming and rehearsing - thank you all. Well done to everyone involved and good luck - sorry, 'break a leg' - for today's show.

Curriculum Newsletters

Each term, we provide a Curriculum Newsletter per year group. These are written by the class teachers and give an overview of the learning that will be taking place each term in your child's class. Here are the Curriculum Newsletters for next term, which have also been emailed to you.

Earth Day 2023

Cathedral Schools Trust Earth Day will be on Friday 21st April to coincide with International Earth Day. We will be celebrating our wonderful planet and learning how we can help protect it. The Green Team would love for children to wear blue and green on that day in return for a suggested donation of £1 which our Eco Warriors will use to buy plants for pollinators and to improve our outdoor spaces. (Pay via Gateway or cash on the day).

National Online Safety

This guide from NOS is called "Helping Children and Young People Managing Device Stress and Anxiety" and details the risks and the ways you can help.
