Welcome back to Term 4. This week our value is Kindness. The children sang a song together in our Values assembly on Tuesday - it's a modern classic about friendship called "Count on me" by Bruno Mars. Here it is for you to enjoy together at home. While you enjoy the song, listen out for examples of kindness in the lyrics.

World Book Day

Here is a reminder that we will be celebrating World Book Day early, on Wednesday 1st March. This will be a day earlier than the official date, because of the NEU strike. As always, we would like children and staff to come to school dressed up as a character from a book. We will be providing an exciting and informative day including assemblies, visiting authors and workshops. (Remember - we don't expect anyone to rush out and spend lots of money on a costume; you could wear something you already own, or make a small prop to represent your character. Taking part is optional - it's fine to wear school uniform on this day.)

  • The Lifeskills Centre is recruiting volunteers. They are on the lookout for people to join their community of volunteers, who are essential for the service on offer at Lifeskills, which supports so many children. There are lots of details on these documents:
  • UHBW and Bristol Vaccine Centre are evaluating a new vaccine for the prevention of whooping cough. They are recruiting volunteers (6-17 years old) for a clinical study and are looking for SUPERheroes like your child! To finish, we have some great news to share. Over half term, the PTFA set their Challenge23 fundraiser. We're really pleased to tell you that the children of VPPS raised £275.06 over the half term with various sponsored chores and activities. This amount is equivalent to a whole PTFA experience for any given year group, so it makes a huge difference. Thank you for all your support!
