Year 4

A message from your teachers

Hello Year 4!

Welcome back to our home learning page!

Well done to all of you who completed the enquiry challenge by creating a meal from around the world and a recipe card and sent it through to us. We no longer have to worry about meals for the next six months! Also, another huge well done to those of you who completed a kind act on community day. We saw some amazing things going on in and around the school. You did yourselves and VPPS proud!

This week there is a new section on our home learning page. This is for your transition to your new classes next year. There is a page for each of your new classes (so as you will be in Year 5 next year, please click on the Year 4-5 icon or click here). On these pages you can ask your new teacher any questions you have and tell them a little bit about yourself. If you can’t access these pages feel free to send an email to your current teacher and they will pass it on.

Please keep the pictures coming and send them to the email address below.

In school, we have been thinking about what it means to be kind. We wanted to share our message of kindness with you all and remind you that you are all unique, special and amazing!

Extra resources!

While you are leaning from home, it is important that you have lots of play time too so don't forget to take breaks from your learning.

We are collecting lots of ideas for things that you can do at home to help you keep fit, get creative and be mindful.

  • Being mindful - you could join in with a cosmic yoga session here or check out 'Go Noodle' for mindful videos here
  • Reading - there are lots of fantastic audio books available for free. You could spend some time relaxing and listening to a good book here. Your teachers will be doing this too!

Here are some websites which are currently offering free ebooks to download. Take a look and pick one if you’ve finished your current book.

  • PE - don't forget that Joe Wicks is doing daily PE lessons at 9am. You can join in live or save it for the afternoon.
