Welcome Back!

We hope you had a lovely half term and are looking forward to your final term in Year 2! As ever, thank you for taking the time to visit our Year 2 page. Just like last term, we'll be setting you some new work for literacy and maths each day as well as some other challenges too!

This term, we'll be using some new maths resources to help us! The White Rose Maths Team are a special group of people who have been busy thinking up ways to help your home learning in maths and have created some special lessons for Term 6 to help you be ready to start Y3.

Our Enquiry Team will also be setting some extra little challenges for you each day too and this week it'll be Geography George's turn!

Don't forget to let us know how you're getting by emailing us!

Literacy

 Diary Challenge:

We've written quite a few diaries this year. You've written diaries as some of the different characters from our stories but there was one extremely important diary we learnt about too. Samuel Pepys's diary became an important part of history because it helped us to understand what happened during The Great Fire of London in 1666. This is a very important time in history too and as a literacy challenge, you could keep a diary during your time learning at home.

It could be:

- A photo a day of you learning at home.

- A written diary which includes your thoughts and feelings about each day.

- A video diary where you record a short video about your day every day you spend learning at home.

Remember, Samuel Pepys's diary became a really important part of history. Maybe your diary could become part of history too!
