Guided Reading

It is important to keep up reading.

You should be doing some form of reading every day. However this does not mean you will be doing the same type of reading every day.

Here are some different ways you can practise reading.

  1. Read a book with an adult or person in your house. If you have a levelled reading book at home, that’s a good place to start.
  2. Read a story to a younger brother or sister.
  3. Listen to an audiobook. Here are some free ones:

  4. Do our guided reading activity!

This week, we are reading Ellie and The Cat by Malorie Blackman

Mr Irwin reads Chapter 4

French

For French today, we will practise the body parts again.

Listen and join in with the song tete epaule genoux pied

It's difficult to remember the words so we have to do things to help us know them better. Today you are going to make some matching cards.

Cut out small squares of paper.

Put them in pairs.

Draw a body part on one pair and write the body part on another.

Turn them all over.

Take it in turns to turn over 2 cards.

If they match, you win those cards!
