Outdoors & Nature

You all know how much the teachers in year 3 love nature! Well now there's a competition to make a film about nature.

See here: https://www.intofilm.org/competitions/16?utm_source=Into+Film+-+Master&utm_campaign=1eff19f683-home-learning-8-ah&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_a1465a9b17-1eff19f683-139931149

Have a look at the Peregrine Falcons of Salisbury Cathedral. The Peregrine Falcon is the fastest animal on the planet!

The chicks have hatched!!

The female Peregrine (Sally!) at Salisbury Cathedral laid 4 eggs, the first one laid on Mothers Day! You can watch them live on the webcam in the link above or on Salisbury Cathedral's Twitter feed. We are really lucky in Bristol as the Peregrine Falcons nest in the Avon Gorge and you can sometimes even see them in the city centre. Mrs Walker spotted them near Castle Park!

  • Learn about the Peregrine and hear their calls here
  • Watch a peregrine chasing a mountain biker down a mountain here!
  • Steve Backshall Peregrine vs Pigeon!

Get outside as much as you can and see what you can discover!
