Attendance Celebration

Whole school reading challenges

We would love you all to get involved with our school reading challenges!  They can be found on the school website (click here to go to the Curriculum page) and we will be setting a challenge each term for you to have a go at.  This term is number 3 - read a book that someone you live with loves. Send a photo in to school showing which book this is and be creative with how you can show us that you have achieved the challenge. It could be a picture, a photograph, some writing, or making a model about the book. Have a go and enjoy reading!

Children in Need - Friday 13th November

This year for Children in Need, we will have a non-uniform day so children can wear something colourful to show their support for this charity.  There are plenty of official merchandise items available at Asda, but children could also choose to wear something home made, something from a previous year's campaign, or simply something bright.  We will be raising money to support Children in Need and are hoping to set up donation payments on School gateway to support with this - more information will follow.

Anti-bullying week 2020

During the week beginning the 16th November we will be taking part in anti-bullying week. Throughout the week children will take part in assemblies and activities exploring what bullying is and what we can do to stop it happening. To launch this, we will be joining with the Anti-Bullying Alliance and having an Odd Socks Day on Monday 16th November.  We are inviting children and staff to come into school wearing the craziest odd socks you can find.  There is no expectation for you to contribute to this but if you would like to make a voluntary contribution to the Anti-Bullying Alliance, we will be having a collection on this day.

Please make sure your child’s name & class are on the back of the design if it isn’t already.

This term's school value is Respect. In our first assembly of the term, the pupils helped Mr Bailey to come up with as many different forms of respect as possible - we discussed respecting school property, the environment, each other, our community, our school work, how to show self-respect, and why we should respect privacy. Can you think of any more important ways you can show respect?

Have a lovely weekend.
