Maths

There is a challenge at the end of today's maths. If you feel confident, have a go. You may need to talk it through with an adult.

Parents and carers, I have added a PDF of some place value counters if you wish to cut out and keep (a useful activity in itself!). They can be helpful to show the similarities.

Guided Reading

It is important to keep up reading.

You should be doing some form of reading every day. However this does not mean you will be doing the same type of reading every day.

Here are some different ways you can practise reading.

  1. Read a book with an adult or person in your house. If you have a levelled reading book at home, that’s a good place to start.
  2. Read a story to a younger brother or sister.
  3. Listen to an audiobook. Here are some free ones:

  4. Do our guided reading activity!

This week, we are reading Ellie and The Cat by Malorie Blackman

Mr Irwin reads Chapter 5

Open your mind

Watch this video about Jane Goodall

Jane had dreams of what she wanted to do when she was older. Jane's story shows us that dreams can come true.
